What temperature can filter bags withstand?

The maximum withstand temperature of filter bags depends entirely on their raw material composition.Different types of dust filter bags are designed with distinct continuous operating temperature limits and instantaneous high-temperature resistance,which is the core factor for on-site selection.

Polyester filter bags are normal-temperature filter media.They can stably work under continuous temperature below 120°C.Short-time abnormal high temperature will cause fabric shrinkage,hardening and aging damage.

PTFE coated filter bags maintain stable performance on the basis of base fabric.Most PTFE coated polyester bags can resist up to 120°C continuously.With pure PTFE material,the temperature resistance can reach higher level with excellent thermal stability.The membrane surface will not deform under mild high temperature,and it keeps good anti-clogging performance all the time.

Aramid/Nomex filter bags are typical medium-high temperature resistant products.They support long-term continuous operation at 160°C to 180°C,and can bear short-time high temperature impact above 200°C.They show outstanding thermal stability,anti-oxidation and dimensional stability in high-temperature flue gas environments.

Fiberglass baghouse filter bags have the best extreme high temperature resistance among conventional industrial filter bags.They can withstand continuous working temperature up to 260°C,and adapt to high-temperature flue gas from boilers,metallurgy and kiln industries.Meanwhile,they own excellent chemical stability at high temperature.

Excessively long-term temperature exceeding the rated limit will lead to fiber aging,embrittlement,cracking and permanent damage of filter bags.Therefore,it is necessary to select filter bags with appropriate temperature resistance according to actual exhaust gas temperature on site.
