How long do dust collector bags last?

The service life of dust collector filter bags varies greatly depending on filter material,operating temperature,flue gas corrosion,dust abrasiveness,cleaning frequency,on-site working conditions and daily maintenance.Under normal stable operation,different material filter bags have distinct service cycles.
Ordinary polyester filter bags are the most commonly used normal-temperature filter media.Under mild working conditions with low temperature,weak corrosiveness and general industrial dust,they can generally be used for 1 to 2 years.Their lifespan will decrease obviously when exposed to high temperature,moisture or sticky dust.
PTFE coated filter bags own excellent corrosion resistance,moisture resistance and anti-clogging performance.With stable membrane structure and strong wear resistance,they usually have a longer service life of 2 to 3 years,and can maintain stable filtration efficiency for a long time in high-humidity and complex dusty environments.
Aramid/Nomex filter bags are medium-high temperature resistant materials.With outstanding thermal stability and oxidation resistance,they can continuously work under high temperature conditions.Their general service life ranges from 1.5 to 2.5 years according to different industrial working environments.
Fiberglass baghouse filter bags feature extreme high temperature resistance and strong chemical stability.They are mainly applied in ultra-high temperature flue gas filtration.Their service life is approximately 1 to 2 years,but they are relatively fragile to mechanical friction and frequent pulse impact.
In addition,improper operation including over-high temperature,excessive pulse air pressure,serious dust abrasion and long-term corrosion of acid and alkali gas will greatly shorten the service life of filter bags.Regular inspection,reasonable cleaning parameters and timely maintenance can effectively extend the using period of all kinds of dust filter bags.
