Why Is My Electromagnetic Pulse Valve Not Firing?

Electromagnetic pulse valves are core components of pulse cleaning systems in dust collectors.Failure to inject compressed air(not firing)is a frequent malfunction,which directly disables ash cleaning function and increases system operation resistance.The main causes and corresponding troubleshooting methods are analyzed as follows.

Main Causes

Electrical supply and circuit failures

Abnormal power input,mismatched operating voltage,burnt electromagnetic coils,broken control circuits,loose wiring terminals,or poor signal contact will prevent the coil from generating effective electromagnetic force.Consequently,the pilot valve and internal valve core cannot be driven to open the air passage.Besides,unreasonable parameter setting or signal output failure of the pulse controller also leads to no opening instruction received by the pulse valve.

Insufficient compressed air supply

Inadequate air pressure of the air receiver tank,blocked air pipelines,air circuit leakage,or water and ice blockage in gas pipelines will result in insufficient air source power.Even if the valve structure acts normally,there is no enough compressed air for injection.

Diaphragm failure and blockage

As the key pressure-control component inside the valve,aging,rupture,deformation or foreign matter adhesion of the diaphragm will break the internal pressure difference mechanism.Meanwhile,clogged pilot holes and damping holes caused by dust,oil stains and impurities in compressed air will restrict diaphragm movement,leading to no air output with normal electrical signals.

Internal mechanical jamming

Mechanical impurities,rust and accumulated dirt inside the valve body cause valve core spalling and jamming.Fatigued,broken or corroded return springs lose reset and driving performance,which makes the air passage unable to open smoothly.

Troubleshooting Solutions

Inspect power supply voltage,circuit connection,coil condition and pulse controller signal output.

Check air tank pressure,pipeline smoothness and air source drying degree of the gas supply system.

Clean internal impurities and blocked holes of the valve body;replace damaged diaphragm and spring components in time.

Adjust controller parameters and optimize pipeline filtration configuration to reduce impurity intrusion.
