Why Does Electromagnetic Pulse Valve Keep Leaking Air&How to Fix It

Electromagnetic pulse valve continuous air leakage is one of the most common faults in dust collector pulse cleaning systems.Unceasing air leakage will cause excessive compressed air consumption,low system air pressure,poor ash cleaning effect,and accelerated damage of valve parts.The main causes and corresponding solutions are summarized as follows.
Main Causes of Continuous Air Leakage
Damaged or aged diaphragm
The internal diaphragm of the pulse valve is the most vulnerable part.Long-term high-frequency impact,aging,cracking,deformation or hardening will destroy the airtight seal,resulting in continuous air leakage even when the valve is closed.
Blocked pilot hole and damping hole
Dust,oil impurities and water residue in compressed air clog the small pilot holes and damping holes inside the valve.The internal pressure difference cannot be formed normally,so the diaphragm cannot reset and seal tightly.
Broken or fatigued return spring
The internal return spring suffers from fatigue deformation,rust,fracture or elasticity failure.It cannot push the diaphragm back to the sealing position,leading to persistent air discharge.
Foreign matter stuck on sealing surface
Sundries such as dust particles and rust attach to the valve seat sealing surface,which causes poor sealing and continuous air leakage.
Abnormal valve body installation
Improper installation position,loose flange connection,and mismatched model installation will also cause air leakage at the joint and valve body.
Solutions
Disassemble the pulse valve and inspect the diaphragm.Replace the damaged,cracked or aging diaphragm immediately.
Clean the pilot holes,damping holes and internal passages thoroughly to remove dust,oil dirt and impurities.
Check the return spring inside the valve.Replace the spring once it is rusted,broken or inelastic.
Clean the valve seat sealing surface to remove attached foreign objects and keep the sealing surface smooth.
Reinstall the valve correctly,fasten the connecting flange,and ensure the model matches the pipeline system.
Install air drying and filtration equipment at the front end of the air supply pipeline to reduce impurity intrusion.
