Shaft Screw Conveyor
A shaft screw conveyor is a classic bulk material conveying equipment.It consists of a central rotating shaft welded with helical screw blades,casing,driving device,inlet and outlet.The rotating screw pushes granular,powdery and small block materials to transport horizontally,inclinedly or vertically.
Structure&Working Principle
Central solid shaft
The core main shaft runs through the whole conveyor,with spiral blades fixed on it.
Hanger bearings(intermediate hanging bearings)
Installed inside the trough for long-distance conveying,supporting the long central shaft to prevent bending and vibration.
Trough casing
Usually U-shaped or tubular closed shell.
Working principle
Motor drives the main shaft and spiral blades to rotate.Materials are pushed forward continuously by the spiral thrust,realizing mechanical conveying.
Main Advantages
Simple overall structure,low manufacturing cost and easy installation.
Fully sealed conveying,no dust leakage,good environmental protection.
Stable operation,low energy consumption for long-distance transportation.
Wide material adaptability for dry,loose,free-flowing particles and powder.
Flexible layout:horizontal,small-angle inclined conveying available.
Disadvantages
Easy to be wound and clogged by sticky,wet,fibrous,sludge materials.
Intermediate hanger bearings are vulnerable parts,frequent maintenance and lubrication required.
The central shaft occupies internal space,so the effective conveying capacity is lower.
Not suitable for high-viscosity and easy-tangling materials.

Inclined angle:≤20°(large angle will cause serious material backflow)

Powder,cement,sand,grain,flour,coal powder,small granules,fertilizer,ore powder,dry small bulk materials.
