Pneumatic Knife Gate Valve

A pneumatic knife gate valve is a robust industrial on-off valve equipped with a pneumatic actuator,which uses compressed air as power source to drive the thin blade gate to open and close linearly.Specially engineered for viscous fluids,slurry,particle impurities,fibrous media and thick suspended substances,it features outstanding cutting performance,anti-clogging structure and stable sealing,widely applied in heavy industrial pipeline systems.

Working Principle

Driven by clean compressed air,the pneumatic actuator converts air pressure power into linear thrust to push or pull the knife gate up and down along the valve body channel.The sharp inclined edge of the gate can smoothly cut off long fibers,solid particles and viscous attachments in the medium during closing.It realizes quick full opening and full closing of the pipeline flow passage,effectively avoids valve jamming caused by impurity accumulation.Most models are configured with spring return function,which can automatically close or open the valve in case of air supply failure to ensure pipeline safety.
