Filter Bag

A Filter Bag is a core porous filtration component used in baghouse dust collectors and liquid filter systems to capture particulates or impurities from gas or fluid streams.It is typically cylindrical,made from engineered fabrics,and supported by a metal cage(for gas)or basket(for liquid).

Common Materials:

Polyester(PE):General industrial use,temperature≤130°C.

Polypropylene(PP):Good chemical resistance,temperature≤90°C.

PTFE:Extreme chemical&heat resistance(up to 260°C).

Aramid/Nomex:High-temperature applications(up to 220°C).

Fiberglass:High-temperature,low-cost,brittle.

Filtration Rating:0.1–200μm(nominal or absolute).

Structure:Woven,non-woven needle felt,or PTFE membrane laminated.

Standard Sizes:Diameterφ100–160 mm;length 1–6 m(customizable).

Precautions

Material Selection:Match material to operating temperature,chemical corrosion,humidity,and dust/fluid properties.Avoid material incompatibility to prevent premature failure.

Installation:Ensure the bag is fully seated,vertical,and free of twists.The sealing ring must fit tightly to prevent air/fluid bypass.Avoid contact with sharp edges on cages or tube sheets.

Support Compatibility:Use straight,smooth,rust-free cages/baskets.Damaged supports will abrade and tear filter bags.

Differential Pressure Monitoring:Replace bags whenΔP reaches 0.08–0.1 MPa(normal)or 0.2 MPa(critical).Sudden pressure drop indicates a broken bag.

Cleaning&Maintenance:Clean non-membrane bags by back-flushing or ultrasonic cleaning.Do not wash PTFE membrane bags.Replace bags with irreversible damage.

Operational Limits:Do not exceed rated temperature,pressure,or chemical exposure.Avoid rapid temperature fluctuations.

Handling:Store bags clean,dry,and away from oil,moisture,and physical damage.Handle carefully to avoid tears during installation.
