A Dust Collector Bag(also called baghouse filter bag)is the core filtration component of industrial baghouse dust collectors,specifically designed to capture and separate dust particles from industrial flue gas or dust-laden air streams.It serves as a critical barrier to control air pollution,protect equipment,and ensure compliance with environmental emission standards.Typically cylindrical in shape,it relies on a supporting structure(such as the Spring Filter Bag Cage mentioned earlier)to maintain its shape during filtration and cleaning cycles.

Materials&Specifications

Common Materials

-Polyester(PE)Needle Felt:The most widely used material,suitable for normal temperature environments(≤130°C),with good wear resistance and dust stripping performance.Ideal for general industries such as cement,coal,and food processing.

-PTFE(Polytetrafluoroethylene):Features excellent high-temperature resistance(up to 260°C)and chemical corrosion resistance,suitable for harsh environments involving strong acids,alkalis,or high-temperature flue gas(e.g.,waste incineration,chemical industry).

-Aramid(Nomex):High-temperature resistant(up to 220°C),with good tensile strength and flame retardancy,widely used in metallurgy,steelmaking,and other high-temperature dust collection scenarios.

-Fiberglass:Low-cost,high-temperature resistant(up to 260°C),but relatively brittle and poor in wear resistance,suitable for low-abrasion,high-temperature dust environments.

-Polypropylene(PP):Excellent chemical resistance,suitable for low-temperature environments(≤90°C),often used in chemical,pharmaceutical,and other industries with corrosive dust.

Standard Specifications

-Diameter:φ100 mm–φ160 mm(customizable according to baghouse size)

-Length:1.0 m–6.0 m(common lengths:2.0 m,2.5 m,3.0 m)

-Filtration Rating:0.1μm–200μm(nominal or absolute filtration)

-Fabric Structure:Woven,non-woven needle felt,or PTFE membrane laminated(membrane bags have better dust stripping performance and higher filtration efficiency).

Usage Precautions

-Material Matching:Select the appropriate filter bag material based on the operating temperature,dust chemical properties,and humidity of the baghouse.Do not exceed the rated temperature of the material,as this will cause premature aging and damage to the bag.

-Proper Installation:Ensure the filter bag is fully installed in the baghouse tube sheet,with no twists or folds.The sealing ring(top/bottom)must fit tightly to prevent dust-laden air from bypassing the filter bag,which would reduce filtration efficiency.

-Support Structure Maintenance:Use clean,smooth,and undamaged filter bag cages to support the filter bag.Rusty,deformed,or sharp-edged cages will abrade the inner surface of the bag,leading to tears and leaks.

-Differential Pressure Monitoring:Regularly monitor the differential pressure(ΔP)of the baghouse.Normally,replace the filter bag whenΔP reaches 0.08–0.1 MPa;ifΔP exceeds 0.2 MPa,it indicates severe clogging or bag damage,requiring immediate inspection and replacement.

-Cleaning Control:Adjust the cleaning frequency and intensity according to the dust concentration and properties.Excessive cleaning will accelerate the wear of the filter bag,while insufficient cleaning will cause clogging and increased energy consumption.

-Storage&Handling:Store filter bags in a clean,dry,and ventilated environment,away from oil,moisture,and direct sunlight.Avoid dragging or collision during handling to prevent fabric tears.

-Regular Inspection:Periodically check the filter bags for damage,aging,or clogging.Replace damaged bags in a timely manner to avoid affecting the overall filtration effect and causing secondary pollution.
