Box Type Baghouse Dust Collector
The Box Type Baghouse Dust Collector is a high-efficiency dry-type dust removal equipment with a compact box structure, widely applied in industrial production for exhaust gas purification and particulate pollution control. It takes porous fabric filter bags as the core filtration medium, which can effectively capture fine dust particles from dust-laden air, ensuring compliance with strict environmental emission standards, protecting workers’ health and the surrounding ecological environment.
Different from other baghouse types, the Box Type Baghouse Dust Collector features a integrated box design, which makes its structure more compact, occupies less space, and is easier to install and maintain, especially suitable for industrial sites with limited installation area. Its working principle is simple yet reliable, mainly consisting of two core processes: filtration and pulse jet cleaning.
When dust-laden air enters the box-type collector from the air inlet, large-particle dust settles into the bottom hopper under the action of gravity. Fine dust particles are carried to the filter area inside the box, where they are trapped on the outer surface of the fabric filter bags, while clean air passes through the filter media and is discharged through the air outlet on the top of the box.
As dust accumulates on the surface of the filter bags, the resistance of the system increases. When the resistance reaches a preset value, the automatic pulse jet cleaning system is activated to avoid affecting filtration efficiency. Among various cleaning methods, pulse jet cleaning is adopted for this box-type equipment due to its high efficiency and non-interruptive operation.
The pulse jet cleaning works by using high-pressure compressed air to spray short and powerful air pulses into the filter bags inside the box, causing the bags to expand and vibrate rapidly. This violent vibration dislodges the dust cake attached to the bag surface, which then falls into the hopper at the bottom of the box for collection. This design realizes online cleaning, ensuring the equipment operates continuously without interruption.
Key components of the Box Type Baghouse Dust Collector include filter bags, filter cages, air distribution devices, pulse jet cleaning systems, a sealed box body, hoppers, and PLC control systems. The filter bags are available in various materials such as polyester, PPS, PTFE, and glass fiber, which can be selected according to different working conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity, and dust properties) to ensure long service life and stable filtration effect. The filter cages play a supporting role to prevent the filter bags from collapsing due to negative pressure during operation.
This box-type equipment has outstanding performance advantages: its dust removal efficiency is as high as 90% or more, which can effectively capture sub-micron dust particles; it has strong adaptability, can handle high dust concentration, and is suitable for various industrial fields; its compact box structure saves installation space, and it is easy to operate and maintain with low operating costs. It is widely used in cement, steel, power generation, chemical industry, metallurgy, building materials, food processing, and other industries.
In practical operation, it is necessary to pay attention to controlling the inlet gas temperature within the heat-resistant range of the filter bags, avoiding moisture condensation and dust caking inside the box; regularly inspect the filter bags for wear, damage, and blockage, and replace them in time; maintain the stability of the pulse jet cleaning system pressure to ensure the cleaning effect. Proper operation and maintenance can effectively extend the service life of the equipment and ensure its long-term stable operation.
